Music ministries have always been a strength of Woodbury Baptist Church. We worship in a truly blended style that includes worship songs led by our worship teams, and hymns accompanied on organ and piano. We have many talented lay people that enrich our service with their voices and instrumental talents. If you have musical gifts to share, please let our pastors or music leaders know.
Worship Choir meets Wednesday evenings from 6:45 PM to 7:45 PM during the school year and prepares choir anthems for Sunday morning and special musical programs. Many of the numbers involve instrumentalists as well. This choir is open to Senior High and up by just showing up for rehearsal. Our worship choir is led by Linda Gerber.
Burnished Bronze, our handbell choir meets from 8 AM to 9 AM on Sunday mornings and prepares the monthly handbell offering for worship. This choir is open to Junior High on up and is directed by Linda Gerber. The church office can help you get in touch with Linda if you would like to join the bell choir.
Witness and New Song are our worship teams. They practice on their own schedules and each group leads in worship twice per month. Contact Cindy Klatt for more information on New Song, and Paul Nelson or Winnie Williams for information on Witness. The church office can help you get in touch with them.
Youth Praise (5th-12th grade) rehearses on Wednesday evenings from 5:30 to 6:15 PM, and sings in church about once per month. Each year we perform either a play at Christmas time or a spring musical. Contact directors Winnie or Jerry Williams for more information.
Childrens Choir (ages 4 through 4th grade) rehearses on Wednesday evenings from 5:30 to 6:15 PM, and sings in church about once every 6 weeks. Children will learn scripture songs, and songs from our summer Vacation Bible School programs. Children are also invited to participate in the Christmas play.
