“Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’
“The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me'” (Matt. 5:37-40, NIV).
Mansiόn de Luz, our sister church in La Guácima, Costa Rica. Woodbury Baptist Church is an active partner in helping the leadership of our sister church realize their dreams of being a light in the community surrounding their church. Woodbury Baptist worked with the non-profit, Kids Around the World, and partnered with Mansiόn de Luz to bring a refurbished playground once located in a Woodbury city park to the children in La Guácima.
Mission trips to La Guácima took place in March of 2014, when WBC volunteers worked alongside members of the Costa Rican church and local community to install the new playground, and in July 2015, when our group helped present Vacation Bible School to the children in the community. Check out the teams’ blogs to read about their amazing adventures!
A small group is planning to help with VBS in February 2017.
