Children
During Worship
Nursery and Toddler Care is available during worship and the education hour. Nursery care is from infants through 2 years of age, and toddler care for 2-3 year olds.- Preschool/Kindergarten Sunday School begins part way through worship and extends into the Sunday School hour. The kids begin the worship service seated with their parents. A slide will appear in the powerpoint slides so that kids and parents know when children are to go to class.
Kids Own Worship for elementary students happens every Sunday (except Communion Sunday – the 1st Sunday of each month) in Fellowship Hall during the 2nd half of the regular worship service. There’s lot of interactive learning, singing, puppets and projects as we learn more about the life of Jesus from A to Z! Kids will know when the are dismissed by watching the powerpoint slides during worship.
After Worship
Bible Memory is a Scripture memory program for children in grades 1-6 that meets immediately following morning worship and before Sunday School, beginning at approximately 10:30 AM.
Sunday School classes at each age level meet each Sunday at 10:50 AM with interaction and learning.
During the Week
- Childrens Choir (ages 4 through 4th grade) rehearses on Wednesday evenings from 5:30 to 6:15 PM, and sings in church about once every 6 weeks. Children will learn scripture songs, and songs from our summer Vacation Bible School programs. Children are also invited to participate in the Christmas play.
- Youth Praise (5th-12th grade) rehearses on Wednesday evenings from 5:30 to 6:15 PM, and sings in church about once per month. Each year we perform either a play at Christmas time or a spring musical. Contact directors Winnie or Jerry Williams for more information.
FaithWeaver Friends is held each Wednesday evening from 6:45 to 7:45 PM for children age 3 through 5th grade. The evening involves crafts, games, singing, service projects, parties, and surprises that all revolve around the evening’s Bible story. The evening begins with youth and children’s choirs, then there is a meal for the entire family beginning at 6:15 PM, for a cost of $2 per person, and then the program begins at 6:45 PM. Adults and youth attending Bible Studies or Worship Choir, are welcome at the meal too.
Vacation Bible School is held each year during the first or second week in August.
