Kids in grades 3
through 9 are invited to participate in Youth
Praise. The group rehearses on Wednesday
evenings from 5:30 until 6:15, under the direction
of Winnie and Jerry Williams (651-735-3315).
Youth Praise sings periodically in church and
performs a musical in the spring, dates TBA.
Rehearsals follow the
Faithweaver Friends Schedule.
After dinner and prior to youth group, dinner is
provided for $2 per person for youth and their
families and friends.
We try to make sure that all interested youth have the
opportunity to serve on a mission trip sometime during their high school
years. We do extensive fundraising to make sure it is affordable,
and also assist youth in raising their individual portion. Some
raise all the money through church fundraising. Our youth will
travel to Mexico in the summer of 2007. During the summer of
2005, 2003,
2001, and 2000 our
senior high youth and their adult sponsors traveled
to Ruiz, Mexico, to build homes. In 1999 our Junior high
youth had their own mission trip to Dayton Oaks camp
to build hogans. Trips in
previous years were to Tecate, Mexico. Youth
and children are also welcome with their families on
our family mission trips held most summers to
various locations. |
